Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share the loot I picked up from my last trip to the Thrift Store…and this is what I scored..therefore calling it a Thrift Score! 😉

Dana Buchman leather purse/handbag – retails over $100.  This purse is like brand spankin’ new.  Has absolutely no sign of wear at all.  Like new inside as well.  The only thing wrong with it is that the outside pocket has a tear in the lining…who cares!  My cost? $4.99…score!

I also picked up all of these board games.  They ranged from $.99 to $4.99.  Most of them were $1.99.  The Disney Trivia was $.99 and the Brand New Never Opened poker set was $4.99…score!

I’m especially excited about Family Fued as that was my most favorite game show to watch with my Mom growing up.  Can’t wait to play it.  Also really looking forward to playing Beat the Parents.  What’s neat about this game is that, unlike Trivial Pursuit Junior, the cards are separated for the kids and adults.

Okay, so how do I keep our kids busy during road trips? My parents live a little over 3 hours away and we go visit them quite often. Every time we stop at a thrift store, we are always on the lookout for the Trivial Pursuit Junior Editions.  We currently have Volumes 4, 5, and 6.  When we travel, I always make sure to have it in the car.

It is so much fun and the time passes so quickly.  It’s a 3 hour trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s house and it feels like minutes.  And you should see how proud your children feel when they get an answer right! 🙂

I’ll probably share lots of other ideas in another post as I don’t allow a DVD player in the car and mostly don’t allow any video games either.  These American states are so beautiful and your children need to focus on that beauty and not have their faces stuck in front of a screen.  Just my opinion!

So what was your recent Thrift Score? Do share!

Today I’m linking with Apron Thrift Girl, Simple Design and Cap Creations.
