New Listings and Recent Online Sales

I’ve been a bit bad and haven’t listed anything most of this week.  Luckily this evening I listed 14 things.  I have definitely noticed that the more I list, the more I sell.

Seems that sales have been a bit slow..but then again, I’ve been slow at listing.

Here are last week’s sales.  I’ll try to list this weeks sales once the weekend is over. 🙂

I also sold a new Game of Thrones Card Game that I picked up at a Thrift store for $4.99.  I sold it on Amazon for $34.99.

All of these things have been purchased at either thrift stores, except for the Monopoly game that was purchased new (still sealed) for $2.50 at a Garage Sale.  I bought like 4 of them (all special editions).  They wanted $5 each, but I always ask, “Would you accept _________ for this?”  And I usually ask 50% of the asking price.  And 9 out of 10 times (seriously), they accept.  It is a polite way of haggling?  What’s the worst that can happen?  They say no and you need to decide if you want to pay full price.

The Clifford belonged to my boys and I never pay more than $3.99 for clothes (unless it’s a coat or new shoes) and the Harry Potter Broom was $1.99. I had 2 of these brooms.  At first I had them listed for $22.99.  The first one sold within a week.  I have best offer on most of my items, but it went for full price.  I have free shipping on these so when the first one sold, I quickly upped the price to $26.99 to cover more of the shipping.  Hubby made boxes for these out of cardboard that we had lying around.

I’ll soon share a super score that I had at a recent Thrifting expedition! 😉

How have you sales been lately?

    1. Hi Daisy,

You really should…it’s awesome…but you do need to have patience for it. I’m still learning to be patient. LOL

BTW…sorry for the late reply…for some reason, all of your posts went into spam!

  1. Great sales! Harry Potter costume items sell really well, especially around Halloween. When my son wanted the wand, I ended up spending way too much at a Halloween store. But I did find the tie at a thrift! lol

    1. Thanks Jaclyn. I’m still somewhat new to online sales. Wish I would have known that from the beginning (in March)…i would have been keeping my eye on them.

My hubby is the one that found these.

  2. I had to comment when I read what you said about making an offer. I was at a flea market about a year ago and decided to make an offer on a set of Pyrex bowls (I usually just pay what they’re asking) and the seller went off the deep end & started screaming – ‘do you know what they sell for on ebay??’ and on and on – making everyone nearby very uncomfortable – all she had to do was say no. And, incidentally, I only offered her $2 less than her asking price. So I had to smile when you said, ‘What’s the worst that can happen?’. That’s the last time I made an offer. 🙂

  3. Wow Lynn…that’s crazy. That must have been some crazy, unbalanced lady. I’ve certainly had people say no, but never go off the deep end. Don’t let this nut stop you from making offers. I’ve been garage saling since I was a kid and have always asked for a lower price (my Mom taught me, but she can be ruthless…it can get uncomfortable with her and her heavy European accent..LOL). Something like this has never happened to me…yet. So if it’s already happened to you, what’s the likelihood it will ever happen again??!! Ha, ha!! 😉
