First, you may notice things look a little different. Please bare with me as I’m changing the site up a bit…it may take a little while. On to the post…
Customer Issue (not really)
Okay, so this guy from France ordered a whole bunch of vintage playing cards from me that were new and sealed. He received them and loved them, but then on a couple of them he gave me neutral feedback stating that there were some holes in the cellophane.
I do kind of think that he’s being really nit picky though, don’t you?
Anyway, I checked my feedback score and it still shows that it’s 100% positive. So does a neutral affect that? I’m thinking that it might, and the reason it didn’t affect mine was that he originally purchased several separate listings and then wanted me to combine shipping. I tried doing so, but ebay wasn’t allowing me to (glitch) so I created a separate listing bundling everything together and I cancelled the original transactions.
So the neutral feedback he gave me was on the cancelled transactions. Might this be the reason why? I haven’t received any negative or neutral feedback in a long time (knock on wood – hope I haven’t jinxed myself) and am uncertain regarding this issue and hope someone else can clue me in. I waited a few days after the neutrals to see if it changed, but it didn’t. I also tried researching this on ebay, but couldn’t find anything.
If it did affect my score, you can be sure I’d be on the phone with Ebay trying to get it removed!
I’m definitely happy though that feedback no longer affects defect rating with the new seller update that took effect on Feb. 20th. These changes should have been in place from the beginning and some of them were outrageous. Luckily I only had 1 defect the whole time the old policy was in place.
So what is your experience with neutral feedback?
