We stumbled upon this show on Netflix a couple of days ago.  Have you guys seen Auction Hunters yet?  It’s very similar to Storage Wars, except without any drama.  They buy out storage auctions and the show highlights their best finds.

Auction HuntersIt’s a great show and we are all enjoying it, including our 15yo, 13yo and 9yo boys.  They love watching it as much, if not more than my hubby and I.  Some of the stuff they find I’m familiar with, but a lot of it is new for me, so I’m learning a lot.

For those that haven’t seen it, check it out.  For those that have, what do you think of the show.  We’ve only seen about 5 episodes so far.  And they are only about 25 minutes long.

I also wanted to wish everyone and amazing Christmas and a fabulous New Year!

  1. I love auction hunters (I watched all available on Netflix)….and I love the disclaimer at the beginning that they only highlight the best of the hundreds they buy each year. Although I don’t like all of their comments (as far as my kids are concerned) they do go right over their head. It’s by far the best show I ‘ve seen for auctions. I don’t watch storage wars. Not realistic and not child friendly.

Merry Christmas to you and yours too!

  2. Do you know if any of the seasons have reached DVD yet or if they can be watched online? We don’t have cable, but it sounds like a great show. Merry Christmas to you and yours 🙂

    1. Hey Kimberly, you may want to check your library. We don’t have cable either, but watch it on Netflix. There are a few full episodes online (you can click the image above and it will take you there).

What’s up with you? I’ve seen you commenting, but haven’t seen a new post from you. Hope all is well. Take care! 🙂

  3. I watched that show when we had cable and thought it was more realistic than others. I mean seriously, not every storage unit can contain silver dollars or rare antiques. They should do a TV show about the guy who write the blog Things I find in the Garbage. That would be really interesting!
Happy holidays to you and your family Margaret!

    1. Hey Lorraine. Yes, that would be an awesome show! I also follow a blog about urban dumpster diving..how most of their food, etc is found in the dumpsters. We are such a wasteful nation!
Thank you and happy holidays to you guys too! How exciting..Christmas & New Years in your own place! 🙂

  4. It’s a fun show. I like the fact that they really try to hammer home that the stuff in the show is 1 out of 100 auctions. I swear they find a gun every episode!

My current favorite on Netflix is Flea Market Flip. People buy old furniture and re-imagine it with new upholstery or paint. They then try to re-sell it at a flea market. Most of the stuff looks amazing and would get much more if they could put it in a gallery. Pretty amazing stuff, but definitely a lot of work compared to just taking pictures and shipping!

    1. Oh yes, we like that show too. We don’t watch a lot of television, and when we do, this is the type that we watch as a family. Flea Market Flip is a fun one. I keep telling my hubby that he could easily do that kind of stuff and sell it at the flea market. LOL
